Questions about how 1wim handles your data come up often. The answers below cover the most common privacy concerns from account holders in India — from what we collect during registration to how quickly we can delete your data on request.

We collect your name, email, mobile number and the payment identifiers you provide — such as your UPI handle or Paytm number. Device data like IP address and browser type is also logged automatically to protect your account from unauthorised access.

No. We never store your UPI PIN, Paytm password or PhonePe authentication credentials. Transactions are routed through the respective payment provider's secure gateway, and only a transaction reference number is recorded on our side.

Yes. Send a data access request to our privacy team by email or through the in-account Help Centre. We will compile and deliver a full summary of your stored data within 14 working days of verifying your identity.

Submit a deletion request via live chat or email. Once we verify your identity, personal data is removed from live systems within 30 days and from backup archives within 90 days. Note that data required by Indian law is retained for the statutory period.
